Meet Jacob & District West
Hi, I'm Jacob Weis. I started District West in 2011 because too much of what gets built out here is fast and cookie-cutter, houses that look finished on handover day and start showing it by year two.
Your house should hold up, and it should look like yours. That's the whole idea.
How A JOB ACTUALLY RUNS
We start with a consultation at your house. I walk the space, listen to what you're trying to do, and tell you what I think it'll take. Depending on the project, I'll put a design or a project plan together and send it over for you to look at.
Then we talk numbers: materials, timeline, and the re-engineering that comes with it, like moving electrical or relocating plumbing. If what you want and what you've budgeted don't line up, I'll tell you at that meeting. It's an uncomfortable conversation to have on day one and a much worse one to have in week three.
If it works for both of us, we start. Your project manager is me, the same person who walked the space, the same person on the job. You'll hear from me on progress, and before any decision that changes the plan or the price.
We keep the site clean because most of our homeowners are still living in the house while we work. When it's done, we walk it together, and you sign off. After that, you still have my number, and qualifying work carries a 20-year labor warranty on top of whatever the manufacturer covers.
